ROOKIE DRIVER LAURYN SEIGFRIED PUT HER
NAME IN THE
BLUE MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY BOOKS WHEN SHE POSTED HER FIRST
FEATURE WIN OF HER YOUNG CAREER!
Sunday, June 3rd at Blue Mountain Speedway; It’s something that happens to only
a select few in the world of racing, and on Sunday at the Blue Mountain Speedway
Rookie Quarter Midget Driver Lauryn Seigfried found out just what that is, as
she drove her Ed Pensyl built Star Car chassis, which is powered by a potent Dan
Rausch racing engine to her first career Feature Win.
Heat action saw young Lauryn starting on the pole and she took off as the green
flag was waving and had no problem recording a heat race win, and more
importantly giving her the pole position for the feature event. With a light
rain falling the track was getting very tricky, but Lauryn jumped out to an
early lead and drove away from the rest of the pack, and she did it in style as
she lapped every car but the driver who finished in the second spot.
Seigfried Racing would like to thank all our sponsors, friends and family that
helped us get to this point so fast. Congratulations to Lauryn on a super job
driving. We would also like to welcome Varner's Tree Service on board as a new
sponsor. Varner's Tree Service will do anything from full tree removal to
trimming and topping. For a free estimate give them a call 484-336-0540.
Lauryn will be back in action this Friday at the Blue Mountain Speedway, so come
out and have a good time while you’re supporting and cheering for Lauryn.
Complete information about Lauryn and the Seigfried Race Team can be found at
the Teams website:

Driving Experience A Huge Success for Blue
Mountain Speedway
With beautiful sunny skies raining down on the Blue Mountain Speedway over
50 kids got their chance to drive in a real race car.
Cars and safety equipment where provided for all the kids by the members of
the board.
Drivers got to complete ten laps around the lighting quick speedway as cars
where restricted through their restrictor plates, in order to keep them safe.
On hand was a special guest in Blue Metz as he brought 8 kids to come out
and try their chance at wheeling a race car, Blue was on hand to promote his
ATQMRA Spring Fling at Mountain Speedway on April the 14th with a ten
thousand dollar purse. Many grandstand admission tickets where given away to
the kids that came off the race track after their laps. Trivia questions
were asked as both the parents and kids answered some mind boggling
questions.
The racing surface was not ideal for all the kids but as the day grew on the
kids began to pick it up very well.
Countless hours through out the week where spent trying to get the high
groove in so that the kids had something to race on, and in the end it all
paid off as the kids seemed to have a wonderful time as well as the parents.
Coming up next Sunday is driver training for the beginner cars.
Don’t forget opening Day will be June 3rd with May 11th through the 25th
being pre-season races.

Blue Mountain quarter midgets and the
ATQMRA
Blu Metz and his gang of eight girls attended (or invaded) the Blue
Mountain Quarter Midget Organization's Driving experience on Sunday March
25th. Over 50 kids were on hand to get the thrill of their first
experience driving a Quarter midget on the Blue Mountain Dirt oval. Ted
Grow the BMQMA announcer gave away ATQMRA T-shirts and grandstand tickets
for the Spring Fling Thunder at Mountain TQ midget race on April 14th at
Mountain Speedway. Kids and parents alike answered racing trivia questions
to win their shirts and tickets to the race. A big thank you goes out to
Rich Pursell and the track crew for all their hard work to put on this event.
Check out www.bmqma.com and
www.atqmra.com.
Make your plans to come out to Mountain Speedway near Hazleton on April
14th to see upward of 50 of the fastest TQ midgets in the country battle for the
$10,000 in prize money up for grabs in Spring Fling Thunder at Mountain
presented by Spitfire Racing, Keenan Motors, Dart Chassis and Team Risqué.

available to those who will be driving. Safety equipment will be supplied as
well as cars. Proof of age will be need and 2 parent/guardian signatures are
required.

under caution drivers will be able to pull in and make adjustments to their
race cars.
